Our olive oil is certified organic, ensuring that the olives are grown without any pesticides. It is truly extra virgin, with an extremely low oleic acid content of just 0.26 percent and a peroxide level of 7.8 milliequivalents per kilogram, well below the required thresholds for extra virgin classification. Grown by small scale family farmers in the Messinia region of southern Greece, our olives are harvested in small batches near Kalamata. Made from 100 percent Koroneiki olives, our oil boasts high biophenol levels and a distinctive flavor of ripe olive fruit. We extract our oil at cold temperatures to maintain its highest nutritional content, living up to our company name, Threpsi, meaning Nutrition.
